DESCRIPTION:Earthopia Fest 2026 returns for its second edition from 29 to 31 May 2026 at Fort Canning Green\, bringing together youth\, community groups\, green businesses\, artists and advocates for a three-day sustainability festival built around climate action\, circular living and wellness. \nOrganised by City Sprouts\, the festival will bring together 100+ content partners and engage over 5\,000 participants through hands-on workshops\, panel discussions\, a conscious marketplace curated by Sunday Social and City Sprouts’ Farmers Collective\, the Earthling Exchange showcasing green innovations and social impact work\, art installations made with repurposed materials\, and live performances by local artists. \nDesigned to move audiences from awareness to intent and action\, Earthopia Fest 2026 makes sustainability more accessible by connecting it to everyday choices — from fashion\, food and wellness to creativity\, community and conscious consumption. \nEarthopia’s art installations turn waste into visual storytelling\, creating accessible photo and video moments while making circular economy ideas tangible. SUMMARY:PAINTINGS ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF LIFE - VENICE 2026 A solo exhibition by Peer\, The New Dutch Painter
DESCRIPTION:PAINTINGS ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF LIFE – VENICE 2026 \nA solo exhibition by Peer\, The New Dutch Painter \nOctober 27 – November 02\, 2026 \nPalazzo Pisani-Revedin\, Venice \n  \nITSLIQUID Group is pleased to announce the opening of “Paintings About the Origin of Life – Venice 2026”\, a solo exhibition by Peer\, The New Dutch Painter\, curated by Luca Curci and co-curated by Amaride Ferrante\, that will open on October 27\, 2026\, at 06:00 PM at Palazzo Pisani-Revedin\, in Venice. The exhibition will run until November 02\, 2026.\n\nThe exhibition brings together a selection of large-scale paintings investigating one of humanity’s oldest and most fascinating questions: where do we come from?\n\nAt the centre of Peer’s artistic research is the concept of abiogenesis\, the scientific hypothesis that life on Earth emerged from non-living matter through a process of chemical evolution. The term refers to the possible transition from simple non-living substances to the first forms of life\, a process that remains one of science’s greatest questions and mysteries. Peer transforms this idea into an imaginative visual universe populated by primordial creatures\, cosmic encounters and fragments of an ancient world. Rather than attempting to illustrate a scientific theory literally\, his paintings use the origin of life as a starting point for a broader reflection on existence\, evolution and our relationship with nature.\n\nHis visual language moves between science\, philosophy\, spirituality and humour\, creating narratives that are at once playful and profound. Behind their striking colours\, unusual characters and provocative titles lies a broader reflection on the origins of existence and on the interdependence of all living things.\n\nWe are not separate from nature. We are nature. The creatures presented from an imagined past become metaphors for contemporary human existence. They search\, struggle\, connect\, reproduce\, wander and adapt\, driven by the same forces that have shaped life for billions of years. Peer’s works invite viewers to imagine a world before humanity\, before language\, before civilisation: a time when life was still taking its first uncertain steps.\n\nThe emphasis on connection gradually shifts the exhibition from the origins of life towards the nature of existence itself. Peer’s creatures may belong to an imagined prehistoric world\, yet their experiences are immediately recognisable. They search for companionship\, struggle against uncertainty\, face change and attempt to find their way through an unfamiliar universe. \n\n“Lost in space” transforms this primordial displacement into a contemporary metaphor for humanity’s own sense of disconnection\, while “The Moon and Me” introduces a more solitary dimension\, connecting the vastness of the cosmos with the universal desire for meaning and belonging.\n\nThe passage of life from one generation to another also becomes part of this larger narrative. In “Nonno And His Rebellious Grandson“\, the primordial world becomes unexpectedly familiar\, using the relationship between two generations to reflect on continuity\, difference and the persistence of connection. Similarly\, “The Curious Twins” capture the wonder of encountering a universe that is still being formed. Their astonishment becomes our own: looking at these creatures\, the viewer is invited to reconsider the mystery of being alive. \n\nPeer also deliberately introduces humour\, irony and absurdity into a subject traditionally associated with scientific speculation and philosophical seriousness. The unusual characters and provocative titles allow the artist to approach profound questions without turning them into solemn statements. In “The Funny One“\, humour itself becomes a survival instinct\, while works such as “Mrs. Robinson\, I Presume?” transform an encounter between primordial beings into an unexpectedly human moment.\n\nTogether\, the works form a visual journey through emergence\, connection\, adaptation and transformation: the origin of life emerges as a continuous process\, shaping the ways living beings exist\, interact and evolve across time: the story of life is also our story.\n\nBy looking back towards the oceans\, the stars\, the first organisms and the primordial forces that shaped our planet\, Peer encourages us to reconsider our place within the larger web of existence. His paintings remind us that long before humanity began to define itself as separate from the natural world\, we were already part of it. \n  \nOrganized by ITSLIQUID Group \nCurator Luca Curci \nAssociate curator Amaride Ferrante \nGraphic designer Sara De Rosa \n  \nPAINTINGS ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF LIFE – VENICE 2026 \nA solo exhibition by Peer\, The New Dutch Painter \nPalazzo Pisani-Revedin \nSan Marco 4013A\, Venice\, Italy\n \n \nOpening \nOctober 27\, 2026 | 06:00 PM \nRSVP: info@itsliquid.com \nFree entry – Register here\n \n \nExhibition days \nOctober 28 – November 02\, 2026 \nMonday – Sunday | 10:30 AM – 01:30 PM and 02:30 PM – 06:00 PM \n  \nPeer\, The New Dutch Painter – About \n  \nPeer\, The New Dutch Painter is a Dutch contemporary artist whose vibrant\, large-scale paintings explore the emergence of life and humanity’s place within nature. Self-taught as an artist\, Peer developed a distinctive visual language based on bold colour\, expressive compositions\, unusual characters and thought-provoking titles. His paintings combine a strong sense of visual immediacy with narratives that encourage viewers to reflect on questions of existence\, evolution and human connection. Before dedicating himself fully to painting\, Peer spent many years as CEO of a leading Amsterdam strategic communication and design agency. His international career was built around strategy\, communication and storytelling – disciplines that continue to inform his approach to painting today. After his first exhibitions in Europe\, including presentations in the Netherlands and a Venice Biennale-related solo exhibition\, Peer is now expanding his presence within the international contemporary art scene. His artistic ambition goes beyond creating visually striking paintings. Through his work\, he seeks to spark dialogue\, inspire wonder and reconnect people with the larger story of life on Earth. \n

SUMMARY:LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 2026 - 19th EDITION
DESCRIPTION:LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 2026 – 19th EDITION \nOctober 09 – 22\, 2026 \nELEMENTS Contemporary Art Space \n  \nITSLIQUID Group\, in collaboration with YMX Arts\, is pleased to announce the opening of the 19th edition of LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR. On view from October 09 to October 22\, 2026\, at the central ELEMENTS Contemporary Art Space\, the exhibition brings together international artists working across painting\, sculpture\, photography\, video art\, and performance\, exploring the multisensory dimensions of human consciousness. \n  \nLONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 2026 analyses the complex relationship between body and space\, investigating the continuous hybridisation between individual identities and the cultural\, physical\, and urban settings of our contemporary era. The selected artists draw inspiration from the evocative power of London\, exploring the connection between desires\, needs\, and fears through rituals that bring humankind to change\, transform and evolve their inner world. \n  \nThis inner journey opens with a meditation on perception itself through Burcu Yildirim Parlak’s “Traces of Light”\, which builds a layered terrain of gestural marks and pastel tones settling like imprints of memory\, fragments of experience surfacing through colour. Carina Rabelbauer pushes this exploration further inward with “Ajna – The Eye”\, an immersive field of blue and gold named after the third eye\, where attention turns from the outer world to the awakening of consciousness within. Read together\, the two pieces form a single arc – from the mark left by experience to the eye that learns to read it – establishing the exhibition’s central premise that awareness is felt through the senses before it is understood. \n  \nFrom this interior gaze\, the exhibition shifts outward to the body’s encounter with the city. Kijoo Bae’s “Lines of Silence” renders the rhythm of urban architecture in a striking black-and-white composition\, where repeated structural patterns become a kind of visual hush – quiet not as absence\, but as order. Lola Llinares answers this stillness with motion and noise: her “Traffic Lights” is a dense\, chromatically charged canvas that channels the pulse and friction of city life – hush and traffic become two faces of the same urban condition\, embodying the show’s inquiry into how the self is shaped\, and hybridised\, by the physical and cultural settings it moves through. \n  \nThe exhibition’s final movement turns to the human figures who inhabit this space. In “Véra\, Isabella et Julia”\, Karole Aubourg lets three distinct presences merge into a single earthy\, textured field\, suggesting how separate selves blur and layer into one another over time\, while Piotr Kulikowski’s “Light of Late Summer” captures a comparable threshold with  \n  \na vibrant\, fiery palette\, holding the fleeting moment when one season gives way to the next. Robert T. Rogers closes this sequence with “Bring It to Pass”\, a luminous work suspended between rose and blue that speaks of passage and becoming – a fitting counterpoint to Kulikowski’s seasonal turn\, both artists picturing change as something gradual\, almost atmospheric. \n  \nAcross these different practices\, a common thread emerges: the self is never fixed\, but continuously written and rewritten by light\, place\, and time.  Among the pieces on view\, the exhibition also features a selection of video artworks (see video program). \n  \nOPENING \nOctober 09\, 2026 | 06:00 PM \nRSVP: info@itsliquid.com \nFree entry – Register here \n  \nEXHIBITION DAYS \nOctober 10 – 22\, 2026 \nTuesday – Saturday | 11.00 AM – 05.00 PM \n  \nELEMENTS Contemporary Art Space \n253 Hoxton Street\, London N1 5LG \n

SUMMARY:Dramatis Personae: 1001 Lives — A Major Exhibition of 15 Female Southeast Asian Artists Exploring the Multiplicity of Identity
DESCRIPTION:Gajah Gallery Singapore presents Dramatis Personae: 1001 Lives\, a major group exhibition featuring works by 15 visionary female artists across Southeast Asia and beyond\, exploring the fluidity of identity and the imaginative possibilities of selfhood. The opening reception will be graced by the presence of Ms Jane Ittogi\, Spouse of the 9th President of the Republic of Singapore\, as Guest of Honour. \n  \nCurated by Joyce Toh\, the exhibition features internationally acclaimed Singaporean artists Suzann Victor and Sarah Choo Jing; seminal Balinese artist I Gusti Ayu Kadek Murniasih alongside Fadilah Karim (Malaysia)\, Kayleigh Goh (Malaysia)\, Dzikra Afifah (Indonesia)\, Satya Cipta (Indonesia)\, Betty Adii (Indonesia)\, Nona Garcia (Philippines)\, Wawi Navarroza (Philippines)\, Goldie Poblador (Philippines)\, Lê Hiền Minh (Vietnam/United States)\, Soe Yu Nwe (Myanmar)\, Aracha Cholitgul (Thailand) and Imhathai Suwatthanasilp (Thailand). \n  \nDramatis Personae: 1001 Lives unfolds as a theatre of selves\, where the artist assumes the dual role of actor and author\, conjuring a multiplicity of personhoods within the space of the artwork. Paired with the narrative resonance of One Thousand and One Nights\, the exhibition frames artistic practice as an expansive and generative act—one that celebrates the possibility of manifold lives. Across these varied practices\, identity becomes a site of exploration in which contradictory impulses and multiple ways of being can coexist. The exhibition also reflects on the roles women inhabit and negotiate in everyday life\, while foregrounding their agency to construct identities beyond prescribed expectations. \n  \nThreaded throughout the exhibition is the figure of Scheherazade\, whose nightly acts of storytelling become strategies of survival and transformation. Like Scheherazade\, the artists turn to narrative as a means of opening possibilities and reimagining the conditions of their own existence. Multiplicity thus emerges as a form of agency: an insistence that the self can hold many lives\, voices and possibilities at once.

SUMMARY:CONTEMPORARY VENICE - 19TH EDITION 2026
DESCRIPTION:CONTEMPORARY VENICE – 19TH EDITION 2026 \n16 – 30 October 2026 \nPalazzo Albrizzi-Capello\, Venice \n  \nITSLIQUID Group is proud to announce the opening of the 19th edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE\, an international art exhibition running from October 16 to October 30\, 2026\, during the 61st Venice Biennale of Art. Hosted inside the 16th-century Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello\, the exhibition brings together a selected group of global artists working across painting\, photography\, video art\, sculpture\, installation\, and live performance. \n  \nCONTEMPORARY VENICE explores the evolving relationship between the body and the spaces we inhabit\, reflecting on how identities are shaped\, transformed\, and hybridised within today’s cultural\, physical\, social\, and urban environments. The exhibition unfolds through two sections: MIXING IDENTITIES\, which investigates the inner dimensions of identity and the body as a relational system\, and FUTURE LANDSCAPES\, where boundaries dissolve and space becomes an open field of ideas and possibilities. \n  \nThe idea of a hybrid and ever-changing self takes shape in works that blur the boundaries between form: in this sense\, Bardia Mehdinejad presents “Bluebird”\, a collage in which a blue-plumed bird and a rhinoceros emerge from a violet ground\, composes a dreamlike creature that resists any single definition. This tension between concealment and presence also animates “Untouchable skies” by Antonella Camisassi\, where two veiled figures turn toward one another: their features are hidden\, yet the gesture of closeness makes their bond unmistakable\, and the fabric that shrouds them becomes at once a barrier and a form of protection. From the relationship between bodies\, the focus shifts to the body as matter in Leonardo Glauso’s “Busto”\, whose surface\, traversed by vibrant strokes of red and blue\, reads as a stratified territory of memory and emotion. This inward movement reaches its depth in Pati Avakian’s “Weigh of existence”\, where a watchful face rises from a deeply textured\, almost geological surface\, as if the hidden layers of consciousness had been brought to light. \n  \nIdentity\, however\, is never built in isolation\, and the exhibition also looks at the encounters and shared spaces that shape it. Terje Kjølseth captures in “Serious Talk” the quiet exchange between two elderly women seated on a bench\, a bond sustained over time and distilled into a single black and white image. On a very different register\, Rui Carruco suspends a luminous fragment of childhood on the shore in “Between sand and light”\, where figures\, sand\, and light merge into a memory in motion; finally\, Vheneka Roy Dakarayi Magazi closes this first part of the journey with “Ultraviolet”\, an intense red field from which a patterned headpiece appears at the very edge of the frame\, playing on presence and concealment and on the cultural signs through which identity is expressed and perceived. \n  \nThe path then opens onto the Future Landscapes section\, where space turns fluid and imagination takes the lead. In the video work “The Fractals: los improbables”\, Yolanda Spínola-Elías imagines a habitat of creatures evoking unknown oceans and alternative evolutionary histories – their multiple eyes seem to return our gaze\, drawing the viewer into an encounter suspended between recognition and strangeness\, and asking how we extend attention and care beyond resemblance. \n  \nWithin this landscape that continues to dissolve and expand\, Aldo Luigi Gaddi transforms the Venetian lagoon into a boundless vision in “Laguna di Venezia Circolare”\, bending sea and sky into one another until horizon and perspective vanish. This dissolution carries on in Kingsley Gunatillake’s “Oto II”\, where landscape is reduced to pure atmosphere\, a melting field of yellow and orange that invites a journey through sensation rather than place.  \n  \nIn “Bleu Echo”\, Beatrice de Diego lets blue ink spread and resonate across the paper like an echo\, turning the gesture into an expanding space\, while Mary More completes the itinerary with “Puzzle”\, an interlacing of blue signs and fragments that seek one another and recompose into a landscape of thought in continuous transformation. \n  \nCONTEMPORARY VENICE 2026 offers a cohesive journey through contemporary visual practices\, further enriched by a great selection of video artworks (see video program). \n  \nCONTEMPORARY VENICE – 19TH EDITION 2026 \n  \nPalazzo Albrizzi-Capello  \nAssociazione Culturale Italo-Tedesca (ACIT)\, Cannaregio 4118\, Venice  \n  \nOpening \nOctober 16\, 2026 | 06:00 PM  \nRSVP: info@itsliquid.com  \nFree entry – Register here  \n  \nExhibition days  \nOctober 19 – 30\, 2026  \nMonday – Friday | 09:30 AM – 05:30 PM  \n

SUMMARY:Source Code: A Solo Exhibition by Jemana Murti
DESCRIPTION:Gajah Gallery Singapore presents Source Code\, the second solo exhibition by Balinese artist Jemana Murti\, opening in October 2026. The exhibition presents a focused examination of Jemana’s evolving practice in response to his Balinese identity within modernity\, exploring the tensions between cultural heritage and technological advancement. \nRaised in a family of artists and deeply influenced by Balinese Hindu traditions\, Jemana’s practice is rooted in an ongoing engagement with the cultural forms and knowledge systems of his home. His work is informed by his interest in ethnomathematics and by the use of proportion\, repetition\, and spatial relationships within Balinese artistic and architectural traditions.  \n  \nIn Source Code\, Jemana brings these inherited forms into dialogue with technologies of the present\, using 3D scanning\, 3D printing\, and artificial intelligence to create sculptural works marked by deliberate distortions and “glitches.” These visual disruptions signal the inherent limitations of technology in replicating the cultural and spiritual significance embedded within these forms. At the same time\, he draws a parallel between the reverence once accorded to divine figures and the growing authority given to technologies that are increasingly perceived as “all-knowing.”   \nThis tension takes on a new material dimension in a recent expansion of Jemana’s practice\, through a series of bronze sculptures created in collaboration with Yogya Art Lab. The works begin as digitally reconstructed and warped forms\, which are then translated into bronze\, carrying the distortions of the virtual realm into physical form. The resulting sculptures bring together the instability of digital manipulation with the weight and permanence of bronze\, a material long associated with durability. Through this process\, Jemana brings a central tension within his practice into sharper focus: the fluidity of technological systems alongside the persistence of cultural forms\, and how technological transformation might nevertheless carry forward or reconfigure something of their cultural and material continuity.

SUMMARY:Opening of Source Code: A Solo Exhibition by Jemana Murti
DESCRIPTION:Gajah Gallery Singapore presents Source Code\, the second solo exhibition by Balinese artist Jemana Murti\, opening in October 2026. The exhibition presents a focused examination of Jemana’s evolving practice in response to his Balinese identity within modernity\, exploring the tensions between cultural heritage and technological advancement. \n  \nRaised in a family of artists and deeply influenced by Balinese Hindu traditions\, Jemana’s practice is rooted in an ongoing engagement with the cultural forms and knowledge systems of his home. At the same time\, he draws a parallel between the reverence once accorded to divine figures and the growing authority given to technologies that are increasingly perceived as “all-knowing.”   \n  \nThis tension takes on a new material dimension in a recent expansion of Jemana’s practice\, through a series of bronze sculptures created in collaboration with Yogya Art Lab.

SUMMARY:Held in the Middle
DESCRIPTION:“Held in the Middle”\, jointly organised by UOL Group Limited (UOL) and ART:DIS (Arts & Disability) Singapore\, is the debut solo exhibition by artist Christian Tan\, overall winner of the UOL X ART:DIS Art Prize 2025. \nFeaturing a collection of about 30 linocut prints\, the exhibition brings together works inspired by Christian’s familiar objects and interests – from cleaning tools\, workstations and chairs to pop stars – as reflections of labour\, rest\, aspiration and joy. \nAs winner of the grand prize at the UOL X ART:DIS Art Prize 2025\, Christian was awarded the opportunity to stage this solo exhibition\, which is the largest presentation of his practice to date. \nCurated by John Tung\, “Held in the Middle” invites audiences to consider the patterns of daily life that often go unnoticed: the work that keeps spaces clean\, the seats that allow bodies to rest\, and the songs and personalities that fill moments of pleasure and escape. Through Christian’s art\, these familiar things are brought into focus\, held between use and affection\, function and feeling.

SUMMARY:VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR – 25TH EDITION 2026
DESCRIPTION:ITSLIQUID Group is delighted to welcome you to the openings of the 25th edition of VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2026! On September 17\, at 06:00 PM at ITSLIQUID Art Space – San Marco and on September 18\, at 06:00 PM at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello\, the exhibitions bring together a dynamic intersection of painting\, sculpture\, photography and video art\, inviting a worldwide audience to explore the depths of contemporary creative research. \nProudly part of ANIMA MUNDI 2026\, this edition invites artists to immerse themselves in Venice’s vibrant energy. The fair’s global dialogue continues to expand\, welcoming around 100 artists from over 30 nations and paving the way for this extraordinary new segment. \nVENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2026 invites artists to explore the dialogue between body\, identity\, and space in today’s society. Through the two main sections\, LIQUID ROOMS and FUTURE LANDSCAPES\, the exhibition offers a unique chance to present works that challenge perception and open new perspectives. \nLIQUID ROOMS analyzes the hidden parts of our identities through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality: a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression. \nFUTURE LANDSCAPES presents abstract\, conceptual\, and boundless dimensions\, where spaces are redefined by the mind in an endless flow of ideas. This section reflects on borders and structures between body\, mind\, soul\, and the environments we inhabit.

SUMMARY:VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR – 25TH EDITION 2026
DESCRIPTION:ITSLIQUID Group is pleased to announce the 25th edition of VENICE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2026\, an international showcase taking place in Venice during the 61st Venice Biennale of Art. The event brings together contemporary artists working across photography\, painting\, video art\, sculpture and mixed media\, investigating the relationship between body\, identity and space. \nThe program develops through the two main sections LIQUID ROOMS and FUTURE LANDSCAPES. The first explores the hidden dimensions of identity\, perception and consciousness\, while the second moves towards abstract and conceptual environments\, questioning the boundaries between body\, mind\, memory and the places we inhabit. \nThe project is further enriched by a series of solo presentations across Venice\, curated by Luca Curci and co-curated by Amaride Ferrante and Giulia Tassi. At Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello\, Despoina Stathaki presents “Utopia”\, a body of mixed-media works incorporating gold dust\, gold leaf\, and liquid glass to evoke a luminous\, dreamlike universe inspired by Greek mythology. At Palazzo Pisani-Revedin\, Maria Elena Lavie’s practice moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction\, combining classical references with playful and symbolic imagery\, while Thomas Ruhl’s “About People” features hand-coloured\, photo-based portraits that explore and celebrate our shared humanity across cultures. \nThe two venues create complementary contexts for the project\, allowing contemporary artistic languages to enter into dialogue with the architectural and cultural identity of Venice. Within this framework\, the selected works offer different perspectives on identity and perception\, such as Judy Maynard’s “Flourish”\, which introduces an organic dimension\, where botanical shapes and vivid colours evoke growth and transformation.  \nA similar connection between the visible and the inner world continues in Reyhaneh Foyouzi’s “A silent face”\, a contemplative portrait in which silence becomes a realm of introspection and unspoken identity\, a relationship that emerges in Paul Adrian Mabelis’ “The Ontology of Drift Image Formed in the Wake of Thought” too\, where perception appears as an unstable and constantly shifting process. On the same wave\, Alex Iglesias’ “Feline?” plays with ambiguity\, presenting a mysterious feline-like presence emerging from darkness and leaving the viewer torn between recognition and imagination. \nA more intimate atmosphere characterises Ekaterina Stolyarova’s “Silent Sanctuary”\, where delicate lines and soft shapes create a suspended zone between body\, memory  \nand landscape – a threshold between reality and imagination which becomes more dynamic in Asnaby Samuel’s “Djinn 5”\, whose geometric and symbolic figures evoke an enigmatic presence suspended between the material and the imaginary. \nQuestions of freedom and limitation are central to Petra Dorst’s “Globe of freedom”\, where the spherical form becomes a metaphor for a world simultaneously protected and confined. This sense of enclosure continues in Thomas Ruhl’s “Prison of dreams”\, transforming urban structures into a psychological landscape where architecture\, recollection and desire intersect. \nAnother main topic of this edition is the body\, which becomes a central point of connection in the still image from “Cross-Pollination” by Jodi Lomask / CAPACITOR & RJ Muna\, where movement and performance suggest identity as something continuously shaped through relationships with others and the surrounding environment. The journey moves towards collective memory through Harald Hauswald’s “U-Bahn Linie A\, Ostberlin\, DDR 1987”\, where his black-and-white photograph captures an everyday urban scene while preserving the social and historical atmosphere of a specific time and place. \nThe language of everyday reality is transformed through colour and composition in Tiziano Lombardini’s “Composizione con mandarini”\, where ordinary objects become elements of a rhythmic and abstract visual construction – an itinerary that concludes with Despoina Stathaki’s “Reflections”\, in which vibrant colours and fragmented shapes blur the boundaries between landscape\, memory and imagination. \nTogether\, these works present identity as a fluid and evolving condition: bodies become landscapes\, environments become psychological structures\, memories become visual traces and ordinary settings acquire new meanings. The exhibition therefore becomes a journey between intimate and collective experiences\, physical and imagined dimensions\, inviting visitors to reconsider how we perceive ourselves and the world around us.

SUMMARY:ABOUT PEOPLE Photo-based artworks by Thomas Ruhl
DESCRIPTION:ITSLIQUID Group is thrilled to announce the opening of “About People”\, a solo exhibition\nof photo-based artworks by the German artist Thomas Ruhl. Curated by Luca Curci and\nco-curated by Amaride Ferrante\, the exhibition opens on September 17\, 2026\, at the\nhistoric Palazzo Pisani Revedin in Venice\, and will remain on view until September 24\,\n2026.\n“ABOUT PEOPLE” offers visitors an inspiring journey into a captivating universe where\nphotography\, painting\, and literature gracefully intersect. At the center of the exhibition is\nRuhl’s core subject: the individuals he has encountered across the world in his decades as\na photographer and author. Their lives\, cultures\, worries and joys become\, through his\nimages\, a plea for humanism: these are not models\, nor a typology of faces; they are\npeople in their own lives\, with pride\, fears\, hopes and contradictions – people who create\,\nwho make\, who simply are. As highlighted by Prof. Dr. Claus-Christian Carbon (Chair of\nGeneral Psychology and expert in art perception at the University of Bamberg)\, Ruhl’s\nartworks kindly force viewers to slow down: “His works induce a ‘slow perception’ that\ninhibits visual automatisms and stereotypes\, creating a meditative space where viewers\ncan develop new perspectives\, empathy\, and hope.”
