Found library is a practice and place that centers connections with the more-than-human world. Here, objects, more-than-human beings, take the place of words, and invite us into their own knowledge, form, language, and temporalities.
Since the library’s first gathering at I_S_L_A_N_D_S, its inhabitants have collaborated, conspired, and communicated with and through artists and foragers Isa Pengskul, Jerald Lim, and Qiutong Zhai and visitors who have been taking care of and inspiration from them. The resulting artworks, from textiles to music, poetry to photography, will be on display alongside these objects at starch from December 7th to 29th.
We will have open hours from Thursday – Sunday, 1-7PM.
Registration details for the artist talk on December 15th, and a creative workshop and collaborators’ roundtable on December 21st, will be posted on our instagram closer to each date.
How do we enter into good relations with our forgotten and disregarded kin and kith? We welcome you to listen and question with us.
