OPENING: BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY – 5TH EDITION 2025
ITSLIQUID Group is pleased to announce the opening of the 6th edition of BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2025, which will take place in Barcelona, at ITSLIQUID Art Space – Barcelona from October 16 to October 27, 2025.
BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2025 brings together over 20 international artistic voices from around the world to explore identity transformation, the fluid boundaries between body, mind, and environment, and innovative ways of communicating and experiencing the spaces that surround us.
This edition offers a unique opportunity to delve into the intimate and often unseen aspects of existence through the artistic visions of over 30 artists from 20 countries.
BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY 2025 analyzes the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times, through two main sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.
MIXING IDENTITIES analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its language and infinite ways of expression. FUTURE LANDSCAPES are abstract, infinite and conceptual, associated with a sense of freedom and infinite extension. Primarily experienced with the mind, spaces redefine their limits and borders, transforming surfaces in an open flow of pure ideas. This section focuses on the concept of the borders and the structures between body, mind and soul, the human identity and the city, the space and the ground.
In the rooms of ITSLIQUID Art Space, Barcelona’s urban imagination, with its blend of craft, engineering, and luminous air, becomes part of the exhibition’s syntax. Rather than seeking fixed answers, BARCELONA CONTEMPORARY invites viewers to inhabit a continuum: between body and city, memory and prototype, signal and touch. Identity here is not a perimeter to defend but a space to explore, and landscape is not a backdrop but a living structure that is porous, adaptive, and breathing with us.
