Pottery Presents is an enthralling exploration of earthen expressions. Echoing the polysemantic nature of the word ‘present,’ the exhibition showcases the mastery of ceramic arts through a thoughtfully curated collection.
Moulded by their way of being and belonging in the world, some objects represent the potters’ personal perspective on the practice, while other works endeavour to evoke an awareness of presence. Several of the vessels also serve as gifts in both the literal and figurative senses.
Reminiscent of glaze seeping through clay, each artist’s personality emerges, transforming sediments into compositions of sentiment. We welcome your presence into the space, where each showpiece holds a quiet form waiting to be unearthed.
