Sotheby’s Modern and Contemporary Art and Fine and Rare Whisky auction in Singapore

This summer, Sotheby’s will stage its first-ever live spirits auction in Southeast Asia alongside a sale of Modern and Contemporary Art in Singapore. Highlights from these offerings will be available for public viewing in a preview exhibition from 5 June 2024, before the live auctions on 9 June 2024 at the Conrad Singapore Orchard. 

Sotheby’s Modern and Contemporary Art Auction focuses on artists practising in the 20th and 21st centuries. Under the overarching theme of Paradise, works by celebrated local and regional artists with cross-cultural backgrounds, exploring how art-making and artistic creation bring artists and viewers into an idyllic realm. Led by the auction debut of White Orchids (Phalenopsis) by Singapore pioneer artist Georgette Chen, collectors and art enthusiasts can look forward to works by internationally acclaimed artists including Affandi, Le Pho, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Fernando Botero and more. Sotheby’s Fine and Rare Whisky Auction will feature well-crafted whiskies from Japan and Scotland, including the oldest and most limited Hibiki, the exquisite Hibiki 35 Years Old Kutani Decanter, which is adorned with porcelain containers crafted by the renowned artisans of Arita and Kutani.
